City of Rockville Holiday Schedule for July 4

On Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day, Rockville government offices and the majority of city facilities will be closed. The Swim and Fitness Center will close early, but the Skate Park will stay open, and recycling and garbage collection will continue as usual.

According to the City of Rockville, on Friday, July 4, the government of Rockville will be closed in observance of Independence Day. The following city facilities will be closed: the Rockville Civic Center business office; the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and box office, which has temporarily moved to the Civic Center Cottage; Glenview Mansion; the Taft Center; the Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm, and Twinbrook community centers; the Rockville Senior Center; and the Croydon Creek Nature Center.

Due to renovations, Lincoln Park Community Center is currently closed. Read more in the article on page 6 at www.rockvillemd.gov/lpccand. Until September, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and Social Hall will be closed for repairs. Tickets and more information are available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre.

At six o’clock in the evening, the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will close. For specific facility amenities and summer hours, visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swim center. There will be access to Rockville Skate Park.
