With a vibrant roster of music and art events geared at families around Maryland and the DMV, Strychmore lights up July this summer. Kids and adults may participate in creative workshops or groove together at exciting outdoor concerts, which are ideal for creating summertime memories. Many of the events are free or reasonably priced. Take a look at Strathmore’s summer activities:
Live from the Lawn (July & August) at Strathmore’s Gazebo Stage, North Bethesda: Strathmore’s cherished free outdoor concert series is back, with a variety of evening programs on Wednesdays and interactive kid-friendly shows on Thursdays called Cool Concerts for Kids. The schedule for this summer is fantastic for fun with family and kids of all ages:

Other summertime events include a 70s disco tribute by Wammie winner Cecily at the Good Hope Recreation Center in Silver Spring on July 12 (free/PWYC) and a Colored Pencil Class for Families at the Mansion on July 19 ($12 per pair). The FREE Big Bloom Festival has food trucks, entertainment for children, and music on August 9.
