On June 28, the Maryland automobile Rally Task Force and its partner agencies destroyed six large-scale unlawful automobile rallies in Baltimore City, Harford County, and Baltimore County, preventing disruptive exhibition driving involving audiences of up to 200 persons and resulting in several arrests.
According to the press release, the Maryland automobile Rally Task Force and affiliated law enforcement agencies destroyed several sizable unlawful automobile rallies in Baltimore City, Harford County, and Baltimore County on Saturday.
Public highways, industrial areas, and parking lots in Baltimore County, Harford County, and Baltimore City were the main targets of this proactive, well-coordinated enforcement campaign. Six significant unlawful exhibition driving events were part of the deconstruction operation, which began at 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 28. Roadway shutdowns, disruptive conduct, and exhibition driving by crowds of up to 200 individuals were prevented by high visibility enforcement and patrols throughout the region. Devon Brown, 24, of Essex, was taken into custody by Maryland State Police and accused of stealing a motor vehicle. Brown also has a larceny warrant pending. Additionally, State Police arrested and charged Troy Parker, 18, of Catonsville, with exhibition driving, uninsured vehicle, and suspended registration, and Rashawn Brown, 22, of Wilmington, Delaware, with exhibition and reckless driving.
The Maryland State Police, along with police agencies from Prince George’s, Montgomery, Howard, Baltimore, Baltimore City, and the Maryland Transportation Authority Police, make up the Maryland Car Rally Task Force. In order to combat illicit exhibition driving in designated areas, this cooperative effort is still essential.
