Montgomery College Announces $1,000 “Raptor Ready” Scholarship for Fall 2025 Graduates

For up to 1,000 qualified Montgomery County high school graduates who enroll in at least six credit hours or specific workforce programs for the autumn of 2025, Montgomery College has announced a $1,000 Raptor Ready grant. Applications must be submitted by August 1.


According to Montgomery College, residents of Montgomery County who graduate from a Montgomery County high school in the spring of 2025 and enroll in and complete six credit hours at Montgomery College or fall courses in one of the designated WDCE programs will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship from Montgomery College (MC). The $1,000 Raptor Ready Scholarship must be applied for by August 1, 2025, and it can only be used toward tuition and fees for the fall of 2025. All other candidates will be placed on a waitlist, and the scholarship will be awarded to the first 1,000 qualified applicants.

Additionally, students may apply the scholarship to the cost of tuition and fees for specific WDCE programs:

  • Clinical Medical Assistant
  • Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Early Childhood Education

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must:

  • Be admitted to Montgomery College prior to applying for the Raptor Ready Scholarship; Register for and attend at least six credit hours this fall;
  • Complete the Raptor Ready Scholarship application by August 1, 2025;
  • Be one of the first 1,000 applicants; all others will be placed on a waitlist.
