Olney-Based ThyCa Selected as Giant Food’s Nonprofit Partner for July, Aiding Cancer Survivors

Published On:

The Olney-based Thyroid Cancer Survivors Association (ThyCa) was established in October 1995 with the goal of building a strong global network of services that link thyroid cancer survivors and medical experts. ThyCa was recently chosen as a nonprofit partner in the Giant Food Community Bag Program for July 2025. This relationship will assist the organization’s efforts to invest in vital research and expand its mission of educating and supporting the global thyroid cancer community.

ThyCa will receive a $1 donation for each $2.75 reusable Community Bag purchased throughout the month of July at the Giant Food store, which is situated at 18140 Village Mart Drive in Olney. These donations will be used only to support ThyCa’s free tools, support services, and educational materials for people with thyroid cancer and their families.

In July, ThyCa urges customers to think about buying a Community Bag when they visit Giant Food. According to the charity, please think about grabbing a Community Bag at the register if you’re shopping at Giant in July. To learn more about our support services, visit ThyCa.org.

This project contributes to a crucial cause that affects many lives by advancing community involvement and understanding of thyroid cancer in addition to supporting ThyCa’s purpose.
