Maryland Native Kevin Durant Says Micah Parsons Will Be a Washington Commander in Two Years

Published On:

Kevin Durant, a native of Maryland, made news today after being traded to the Houston Rockets from the Phoenix Suns. His remarks regarding Dallas Cowboys standout pass rusher Micah Parsons possibly joining Durant’s preferred team, the Washington Commanders, in the next two years, however, are also drawing notice (see the video below).

Durant was asked whether he wanted to attract Parsons to the Commanders during FanaticsFest. “I think he will be a Commander at some point in his career,” Durant said with assurance. In response to a question about when, Durant said, “I would say two years from now.”

“I only rock with Dan Quinn,” Parsons, who was interrupted during the interview, said in reference to his former defensive coordinator with the Cowboys, who is currently the head coach of Washington. Durant ended that portion of the conversation by responding, “That’s all he needs to rock with.”

Since being selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft, Parsons has rapidly become one of the league’s most powerful and disruptive defensive players. Parsons, who is well-known for his explosive pass-rushing abilities, exceptional athleticism, and ability to play both defensive end and linebacker, has routinely led the league in both sacks and quarterback pressures. He was named Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021 for his quick impact, and he has since been selected to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro team every year. His relentless pursuit and playmaking skills have given him a unique ability to disrupt opposing attacks and alter the course of games.

According to Kevin Durant, Micah Parsons will eventually serve as a Washington Commander.

“When?” asked Kay Adams.

Durant replied: “I will say two years from now.”

“Yo,” Parsons said, “I only rock with Dan Quinn.”

Durant: “That’s right. All you need to do is rock with that.
