According to a statement from Metro Transit Police, there are no known threats associated with the events in Iran. However, as a precaution, they announced increased patrols throughout the system and urged passengers to report any suspicious conduct.
Metro Transit Police Department Statement: The events in Iran are being closely watched by the Metro Transit Police Department. Metro is not currently under any known threats, however MTPD will be more visible throughout the system. To maintain the security of America’s Metro System, we are still collaborating closely with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners.
