‘Home Alone’ Star Daniel Stern Posts Throwback to Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Fight Song

Daniel Stern, best known for his role as Marv Murchins, one half of the infamous “Sticky Bandits” duo alongside Joe Pesci, has deep roots in the Bethesda community. He grew up in Bethesda and attended Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, where he appeared in several theater productions. Although he eventually left school to pursue acting in New York, his early experiences in the local arts scene helped shape his future career.

On Sunday, Stern took to Instagram to reflect on his alma mater and show off some dance moves, posting:

“Unless you went to B-CC High School back in the 1970s, it is probably best if you don’t watch this. This is ‘It’s On The Roof!’, our fight song. We used to rock that gym when we all chanted it at pep rallies before the football and basketball games. See if you can spot the subtle messaging, that somehow went unnoticed by the faculty, which might be seen as promoting destructive behavior in impressionable 15, 16, and 17-year-old kids. (And dig the Joe Cocker-inspired dance moves!)”
