Recently, a Silver Spring guy who frequently plays different Maryland Lottery games tried his luck at Pick 5. He purchased a four-draw ticket for the midday and evening drawings on August 3 and 4. On August 4, he was enjoying winning a $50,000 prize at the end of the day.
When he picked up his prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore on August 6, the Montgomery County resident expressed his happiness at winning. His sole strategy for collecting the award was to deposit the funds into his bank’s savings account.
He purchased the ticket at Quality Beer and Wine, located close to his place of employment at 13826 Old Columbia Pike in Silver Spring. A bonus of $500, or 1% of the total prize money, is given to the shop.
