3rd Floor Fire Leads To Evacuation of Apartment Building

Around ten in the morning on Tuesday, a building fire broke out at 764 Quince Orchard Blvd. close to Rabbit Rd. in Gaithersburg.


Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the fire. Pete Piringer, the Chief spokesperson, stated that the fire was evident on the third floor of the building when they arrived. Several MCFRS units were sent to the location, including trucks T734 and AT703 as well as engines E731, PE722, PE734, PE732, and PE728, among others. Battalion chiefs BC705 and BC703 responded to the incident, along with rescue units RS703 and A708.

To protect the safety of its residents, the building was evacuated as a precaution. Firefighters are trying to contain the fire and stop it from getting worse.
