A shooting near the 8300 block of McCullough Lane in Gaithersburg on June 27 left a 3-year-old girl and an adult female with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds; the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is looking into the incident.
The MCPD reports that officers from the 6th District arrived at the scene at around 8:50 p.m. in response to a shooting incident. Officers arrived, secured the area, and found a number of objects that could be used as evidence.
Officers discovered during the inquiry that a 3-year-old girl and an adult woman had been shot but were not seriously injured; they were sent to a nearby hospital. Regarding the victims’ relationship, no information is available. As of as now, no suspect is being held.
The inquiry is still under progress, and it is thought to be a singular incidence.
