On June 11, 2025, at 11:15 p.m. the Rockville City Police Department, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery County Police Department and the Montgomery County Division of Fire Rescue Services responded to the 600 block of Blandford St. for a shooting.
According to Rockville Police: First arriving units located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
During the investigation, a 17-year-old suspect from Lanham, Maryland was identified. Brewster was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Detectives from the Rockville City Police Department assumed the criminal investigation, recovered a privately made firearm (PMF) also known as a “ghost gun” and other evidence related to the incident.
The teen has been charged as an adult with Attempted First Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Armed Robbery, Reckless Endangerment and various firearms charges. The teen, who is the lone suspect in the incident, is currently awaiting a bond hearing. The criminal investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Cpl.
