The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspects in surveillance footage of an armed carjacking that took place on New Hampshire Avenue in Hillandale.
At before 2:50 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, 3rd District officers responded to an armed carjacking at the Exxon in the 10200 block of New Hampshire Avenue, according to MCPD. When a dark SUV pulled into the parking lot, detectives discovered that the victim was inside their black Honda Accord at the gas pumps. The victim was unable to flee when the SUV stopped in front of their vehicle. Then, two unidentified suspects exited the SUV and drove up to the victim’s vehicle. The victim was told to exit the car by one of the suspects brandishing a black revolver. Both criminals then got into the black Honda Accord and drove off from the scene, followed by the dark SUV, after the victim obliged with their demands.
The first suspect is characterized as a thin-built, White or Hispanic man in his early twenties. He weighs between 130 and 140 pounds and is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall. He carried a black revolver and was dressed in black jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black ski mask.
According to the description, the second suspect is a Black man in his early twenties with a fair complexion. He weighs between 130 and 140 pounds and is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall. He had on black leggings, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black ski mask.
