Each winner can choose between receiving cash or an annuity. Two winning tickets were sold, therefore if the winner opts for the annuity, they will get $900,000 in 25 equal payments. The winner will receive $440,000 before taxes if they choose the cash option.
The winner is advised by lottery officials to sign the ticket’s reverse and store it in a secure place. After the drawing date, the player has 182 days to collect the prize.
The Lottery website’s “How to Claim” page provides instructions on how to claim prizes. Over $25,000 in prizes must be claimed in person or by mail at Lottery headquarters. The lottery’s main office is located in Baltimore at the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330. Claiming in person requires an appointment; walk-ins are not accepted. All of the available appointment times are displayed on the appointment scheduling page.
In 2025, this is the third Multi-Match jackpot victory. A Baltimore City man bought a $3.3 million ticket on February 24 and a Hagerstown lady won a $870,000 jackpot on April 10.
